Celebrating all the things people in Leeds are doing as we stand together against coronavirus.

Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to all the staff at the supported independent living unit where my son with autism and severe learning difficulties is a tenant

Thank you for being there, for using your own time to go shopping for him when his disability doesn’t qualify him for home deliveries, for taking the time to devise activities for him, for caring, for understanding…I could go on and on. Saying thank you isn’t enough but I do say it and wish there were more I could do and say. Thank you.

A Big Thank You to Leeds Tenants

As someone who works for LCC helping deliver essential repairs I would like to thank all the tenants for understanding priorities have changed and their patience when requesting repairs during this crisis is helping our teams enormously.
It makes a world of difference to those trying to organise repairs and put processes in place to pick up the non-urgent ones when restrictions are lifted. Very proud to work for LCC at this trying time and even more gratefull I live in such a great city with amazing community spirit.

A Big Thank You to ICU aAkU ward 12 all staff from consultants to cleaners, nurses and care staff at St James and ICU Pinderfields Wakefield

In 2018 I was transferred from pinderfields after 16 days induced coma

Thankyou for all your care especially when I was learning to talk, walk and eat. Walking was the hardest especially with a chest drain in situ.

Thankyou for taking care of me from the 27th November Pinderfields 2018 to 28 January 2019 discharged home for a week back blue lighted back into ICU then another three weeks in hospital with hospital acquired pneumonia. I’m so relived that this was last year and not now so scary. I’ve donated to a fabric making charity towards scrubs as a Thank you. xxx

A Big Thank You to The Leeds Shielding Support Team & volunteers

As a vulnerable person during this Coronavirus Pandemic, I am very proud to live in Leeds and can’t thank the people who continue to support us enough. This support allows me to be able to isolate and avoid risk. My wider family live 80 miles away and knowing that we have the support we need is amazing. Thank you all so much. Without your support my family and I would certainly be at risk. THANK YOU!
