Celebrating all the things people in Leeds are doing as we stand together against coronavirus.

Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to all the carers and staff at Woodview Extra Care Living Facility

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and care you give to my mum & Lucy each and every day. I want to thank you especially now, when you are putting your lives on the line and not even being acknowledged as front line workers. You do an amazing job and are all
“ANGELS WITHOUT WINGS”.

A Big Thank You to all NHS staff

Every single one of the NHS Staff, from the most senior consultant to the most junior / temporary / volunteer cleaner, porter, and support personnel, to all the carers. To every single essential worker who is doing so much to keep all of us and the entire country going. You are ALL major-league heroes, nothing less. Thank you for keeping us all as safe as possible and keeping everything going, through these extraordinary and challenging times.

A Big Thank You to teachers, nurses and other health professionals, care workers, shop workers, bin men

Thank you for my friends and family and community groups for keeping me going. Thank you for my employer for supporting me to work at home. Thank you for my GP and chemists, Deliveroo drivers and postal people bringing me what I need. Thank you so much for all the efforts of the teachers, nurses and other health professionals, care workers, shop workers, bin men and everyone else that keep the UK running and don’t get enough recognition.Β  xxx

A Big Thank You to my friend and neighbour Sanchia

Sanchia is shopping for some of us on our avenue who are having to stay home, even though she is still working (from home) and even though she hates shopping! And she remains friendly even though I keep forgetting to add things to my list and have to text her to add them. It’s such a help to those she’s doing this for, and we really appreciate it. Thanks again Sanch!
