Celebrating all the things people in Leeds are doing as we stand together against coronavirus.

Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to everyone who is working to get us through this crisis

Thank you to LCHT and all the community NHS staff supporting people in their own homes-many with coronavirus symptoms. Thank to social care staff who are also helping some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Thank you to the teachers working over the Easter holidays. Thank you to the bin collectors and postal workers, to the delivery drivers and shop workers, to transport workers and energy/utility staff. Thank you to those on the frontline and those behind the scenes. And thank you to everyone who is playing their part to get us all through this as quickly as possible xx

A Big Thank You to the carers in Kitwood house, Glen Rosa Care Home Ilkley

Looking after my mum who is a new resident. She has dementia and will be unsure why she’s not seeing us. She’s also been poorly and they’ve been incredibly kind. They also send us regular photos of her with messages for myself and my brother – it helps us feel connected at this awful time. They are all doing extra shifts and working incredibly hard. Thank you so much xx

A Big Thank You to the delivery drivers and supermarket staff at Sainsburys. Leeds refuse collectors. All our wonderful NHS staff.

Thank you for keeping us supplied with food and drinks you must be so busy with so many at home now. Thank you for keeping us safe by removing all our household waste which must have doubled lately and thank you NHS for your dedication your compassion and for all the wonderful work you do. Lots of love to you all.
Keep Safe xxx
