A Big Thank You to Children’s oncology team & surgical team in ward 42

A big thank you to everyone involved in children’s oncology at the LGI and the surgical team on ward 42 LGI for the excellent care my granddaughter Isla Greenwood has had ….the staff, play teams, consultants, support teams are a credit to the NHS …you’ve all made a very stressful, upsetting time more bearable. Your encouragement & care has been first class.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything xxxx

A Big Thank You to Healthcare Professionals

A huge thanks to the lady I spoke to when I called NHS Direct 111 on New Years Eve, for advice regarding my son who was having a very bad nosebleed. Within 5 minutes a clinician had called us back, spoken to my son and advised we go straight to A&E.

From the lady I initially spoke to when dialling 111, to the clinician who called us back, to the Nurse Practitioner who saw my son in A&E, thank you all, so much! During being seen at the hospital, the Nurse Practitioner spoke to someone in ENT, my son was given an appointment there and then to go to the ENT department in less than a week’s time. We need our NHS, all the staff do an amazing job, we’d be well and truly lost without every single one of them.

A Big Thank You to all my staff in the Colorectal/ Urology/ Breast Operating theatre team at St. James Hospital, Leeds.

I just want to say thank you to all of you. This last 9 months have been quite a journey for me. I feel blessed to be part of a fantastic group of people. You all work hard, with passion and conviction, the care and professionlism you give our patients is outstanding. I am so proud of what this team achieves everyday. I could not have lead a better team, I care about each and everyone of you. I believe we will continue to do amazing things and I wish you all the best for 2020. Keep being kind and honest, you are a credit to the NHS, be proud and always smile through the ups and downs of this extraordinary job you all do. Happy new year.
