I’d like to say a big thank you to Josh who has supported my work over the winter time when my mental health has suffered. I find Christmas time difficult and sometimes you just need that gentle push to carry on. Thank you!

I am really grateful to the Macmillan organisation who came in to help our whole family when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Helping in hospital with her care, in talking to doctors and helping our family to cope in a difficult time.

I’d like to thank Geraldine for being a wonderful lady bringing together the arts and health sectors together to improve wellbeing in Leeds. So inspiring!

I’m really pleased that I’ll be moving to London in September to study an MA at the Royal Academy of Music. Thank you to all the teachers, musicians and friends who’ve helped me and made my time in Leeds so enjoyable. I look forward to starting this next chapter!

Thank you to the physio team at CAH, particularly Catherine. Your support and guidance (and counselling!) during my recovery is worth more than you’ll ever know!

A huge thanks to the lady I spoke to when I called NHS Direct 111 on New Years Eve, for advice regarding my son who was having a very bad nosebleed. Within 5 minutes a clinician had called us back, spoken to my son and advised we go straight to A&E.

From the lady I initially spoke to when dialling 111, to the clinician who called us back, to the Nurse Practitioner who saw my son in A&E, thank you all, so much! During being seen at the hospital, the Nurse Practitioner spoke to someone in ENT, my son was given an appointment there and then to go to the ENT department in less than a week’s time. We need our NHS, all the staff do an amazing job, we’d be well and truly lost without every single one of them.

Thanks NHS for curing me when I was ill.

I just want to say thank you to all of you. This last 9 months have been quite a journey for me. I feel blessed to be part of a fantastic group of people. You all work hard, with passion and conviction, the care and professionlism you give our patients is outstanding. I am so proud of what this team achieves everyday. I could not have lead a better team, I care about each and everyone of you. I believe we will continue to do amazing things and I wish you all the best for 2020. Keep being kind and honest, you are a credit to the NHS, be proud and always smile through the ups and downs of this extraordinary job you all do. Happy new year.

Thankyou to the Lymphoma and leukaemia teams at St James’s hospital for helping me stay alive. The care I’ve received and continue to receive is great.

A big thank you to LGI Children’s A&E who yet again looked after my poorly child so well this evening. We’ve been there, and CAT, a lot over the last 4.5 years, never for anything too serious but always so well looked after, even when the staff are obviously over stretched. In awe of the job you all do.

When I saw my GP on Thursday, he dealt with my medical problem and then gave me a tissue and told me I had toothpaste near my mouth! He said he’d gone through a morning’s surgery with a cappuccino moustache and no one had told him.
