Celebrating all the things people in Leeds are doing as we stand together against coronavirus.

Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to the nurses on J54 and J83

Thankyou to all at J54 and J83 for their unconditional love and care. I do not have the words to convey my family’s and my gratitude for everything that you guys do. I am still going strong since my transplant in March 2017.

The nurses are simply brilliant, professional with a human touch! You will not know the immense feeling of wellbeing felt when all you do is to simply just smile.

A Big Thank You to Ward J83 and the entire Liver Transplant team.

Thank you isn’t enough to the Leeds Liver Transplant team. On Christmas Eve 2017 I received the most wonderful early Christmas present and it is with the care, time, devotion, professionalism, knowledge, love and sometimes just a warming smile that helped to make what could have been an incredibly difficult time so easy.
The whole team to a person where and still are incredible. The care not only I but my wife received from them is second to none.

A Big Thank You to Sadiya and the Child Friendly Leeds team

I just wanted to say a massive well done and thank you for letting me be part of the Child Friendly Leeds Awards. It was both wonderful and impressive and you and the team should be very proud of all that you do as Child Friendly Leeds and delivering such an inspiring and innovative event! It was the perfect showcase for so many of the wonderful children and young people we have in the city and the incredible organisations supporting such important work, something Leeds should be hugely proud of.

A Big Thank You to Let's Read Volunteers

Last week, the Let’s Read Programme won the LCC Child Friendly Award Leeds ‘Schools and Communities Working Together’ Category. A very proud moment for the charity Learning Partnerships and Let’s Read as well manager, Gail and the 80 volunteers who support more than 320 children across 14 schools with their literacy and language skills each week.
THANK YOU to each and everyone of them – without their time and commitment the programme wouldn’t exist so this message is to say how much we appreciate them!
