I arrived at St James’ A&E department on Thursday afternoon, was lots of waiting around BUT I were told from the beginning to expect a long wait, I saw a GP in A&E and was quickly sent to the Surgical Assessment Unit….what an AMAZING team of people. Expectation set from the start, kind and friendly staff eased what was a daunting experience. I was given a bed and admitted and my partner was able to stay with me all night. I had a CT scan and even when another patient became angry and aggressive the nursing team remained professional and calm. I was transferred to ward J43 in the Lincoln Wing….again another set of FANTASTIC staff. My experience of St James’s Hospital Leeds was fantastic I was cared for, supported and the staff went above and beyond. A big special thank you to Angela J43 enjoy your last few shifts before heading home to Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 lots of love to all the staff Becky (J43 bed 19) xx
A big thank you to the Paramedics & Cardiac Team who looked after my partner Paul on 22nd December after suffering a heart attack. They were all amazing.
