Celebrating all the things people in Leeds are doing as we stand together against coronavirus.

Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to key workers

To the bin men, the shop workers, the drivers, the food producers, the tech producers, the companies repurposing, the staff and volunteers delivering food and essentials to the vulnerable and the homeless, to the council staff for keeping the wheels turning , the amazing social care workers and of course the NHS staff for their quite extraordinary dedication. And to my neighbours and local community for ordinary day to day kindness.

A Big Thank You to Sense care home staff

We’d like to say a big thank you to Tom and all the team at Sense Care Home in Leeds for the wonderful care they are giving to my brother Paul.
Paul is cared for every day of every year whether in sickness or in health but your efforts to keep everyone safe and happy during this especially difficult time are really appreciated.
We celebrate you every Thursday when we join in with clapforcarers. Thank you!

A Big Thank You to the "Tingley, Ardsley & Thorpe - viral kindness" Facebook group

What an amazing community effort to support one another via this facebook page and the supporting website www. Wf3kindness.co.uk.
There’s been picking up shopping, getting prescriptions, finding me skimmed milk (thanks Kirsty Leach,) sharing info and answering questions, a Harry Potter trail walk for the kids on daily exercise, printing and posting flyers for everyone in the area with contact details on there of who to call/email/online to ask for help. Linking it to the national scheme, making sure people are not alone, walking peoples dogs, raising money to supply food to people who need it, raising and supplying 150 plus hand creams for NHS staff, sewing scrubs, hats and face masks and delivering them direct to the front line and the list goes on and on and on. I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this community. Amazing people. X
