Celebrating all the things people in Leeds are doing as we stand together against coronavirus.

Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to Leeds city council and NHSCarers!

I would like to thank all our managers and our great team at the distribution centre for sourcing food and making up the thousands of food parcels that we have managed to deliver every day to the most vulnerable people of leeds!

I would also like to thank all our drivers that get all this food out across the city!

We are an amazing team!!

I would also like to thank the bin men and street cleansing who are still working through to keep our city clean!

Also a big shout out to NHS! Thank you for putting your lifes at risk to help safe ours!

Another big massive shout to all the carers working in and out of care homes! You guys are awesome!

A Big Thank You to Bramley Care Bears Unincorporated Association

Since October 2019 this group of Volunteers have been food donations and even more so since the covid19, they used to only do food distribution on a Friday at Bramley Community centre and then Sundays at Fairfield Community centre. Now they give food out and food parcels 3 x a week to help those that can not get out, and those that can and give time slots so that they can keep the distance. They are working for us and not for themselves as volunteers. My heart will always be grateful of the little parcel of foods they bring to me.

A Big Thank You to my mum and dad

Thanks for being amazing during this difficult time, you both work long hours every day to help others in hospital and those who are most vulnerable. You always put others before yourselves, you’re both truly amazing, caring and down right lovely people and I’m proud to call you my parents! πŸ‘πŸ» A BIG thank you for everything you do!

A Big Thank You to EVERYONE for being amazing

All the key workers (refuse collection, cleaners, care workers, school caterers, teachers, lorry drivers, funeral directors etc) who continue with their daily jobs but usually working in different ways, often for longer hours so I can live safely and stay at home, our emergency services who support the public everyday (often to negative feelings) and of course our amazing NHS staff, many of whom have had to change their lives to be able care for those who are sick, support them to get better or show amazing compassion during a person’s last hours.

For being there, for being amazing, for continuing and for never giving in.
