Celebrating all the things people in Leeds are doing as we stand together against coronavirus.

Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to The Independent Visitors

As Senior Coordinator for the Leeds Independent Visitor Scheme, I would like to thank every IV for continuing to support their looked after child, young person or Care Leaver from afar. The continued contact you are having will be a valuable link to the outside world and offers consistency at a time where their whole world has been turned upside-down. You have adapted to the changes we’ve implemented so quickly and your creativeness in developing activities to boost their emotional wellbeing is outstanding!

A Big Thank You to Key workers

I would like to thank everyone, who in doing their job is potentially putting themselves at risk; Carers, supermarket staff, teachers and other school staff, supermarket workers, delivery drivers and of course NHS workers, especially those treating people with Covid 19. Just a sincere thank-you, and to say I am grateful, and that without you, what is a difficult situation would be intolerable. I hope the outcome of all this is that collectively we recognise the value of what you do to all of us.

A Big Thank You to AHG Group and 2nd nature

Jayne Johnson, Jas Samplay and Paul Silk in the AHG group, the cleaning firm 2nd Nature, Hedgehog gardeners, our other service providers and any carers. Thank you for all your help in keeping our services supported so there is a pleasant, safe supportive environment for the residents in the almshouses in Guiseley and working through very difficult and challenging times. It really is important and appreciated.
