Say your Big Thank You here

From staff and carers on the frontline, to the people who remove our rubbish and keep the power on, from food suppliers keeping shelves stocked and deliveries coming, to volunteers looking out for the more vulnerable people in your area; there has never been a better time to show your appreciation for the key workers and carers in our community.

If you’d like to show your support for frontline staff, key workers and those delivering key services across the city, please share your Big Thank You message here.

A Big Thank You to Ward 92 Bexley Wing St James Hospital

I would like to say the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to the staff on ward 92 Bexley Wing at St James’s Hospital who cared for my mum with so much kindness before she passed away in October this year. The amount of care and compassion shown not only to my mum but to us as a family who were blindsided by sadness and pain is something I will never forget. This made such a difference not only during that difficult week but also the following months of grief. This was true of every staff member we met, from the consultant on ward round to the woman who cleaned the room and brought us tea and toast and made us feel looked after after a night on the foldout camp bed. We will always be grateful and have so much respect and admiration for what the staff did for us. Thank you

A Big Thank You to Ward L09

Thank you to the staff on L09 (children’s ward at Leeds General Infirmary) for amazing care and support. Special thanks to Nurse Ellie for exceptional care and support in making our little boy better and special thanks to the lovely doctor forgot his name but even though he had no voice, he worked non stop and was incredible with our little one. You’re all amazing! Merry Christmas! Love Charlotte, Henry and James
